The need to discuss the economic problems should be done yesterday. All major economies in the world are in a panic and this Ronald Kiandee says there is no urgency to this. A number of DSAI recommendations during the debate has actually been adopted. That goes to show that DSAI can help by having the debate.

From Malaysiakini:
Anwar's motion on economy rejected
‘I am rejecting the motion, although it is specific and of public interest, it is not necessarily an immediate concern,' said the deputy speaker.

This Deputy speaker is in a coccon or what? He could have said it was not specific. He could have said it was not of public interest. But to say that it is not of immediate concern? Man, does he know what is happening in the world? Before long our economy will be whacked too. It's imminent, and he still thinks it is of no immediate concern. When is the right time, Ronald? Only when we are officially in recession? What a twit.

Najib's note to dewan speakers before he left for his Peru excursion :

Dear speakers,

Please dissallow opposition from bringing up any issues touching on the economy
he may trounce on the backbenchers who are prone to uttering nonsense and spoil my holiday which I intend to have with a peace of mind.
.........and if my extended trip to London is scuttled , there will be hell to pay.
We have already created issues like pro-ISA rallies, and some volatile fatwas to keep the opposition occupied- so try not to screw it up OK ?
Thanks
pak Jib

Of course, economic issues is NOT URGENT! Besides Malaysia is the ONLY country in the world that is confident to overcome the economic woes. Furthermore, there are other more urgent matters to discuss like APs ,ketuanan, fatwa, road signs in multiple languages. all these are VERY IMPORTANT! They will decide life and dead of Malaysians from all walks of life!

of course had to reject the motion. If he allows it, he will not understand a single word about the economy that true MPs like Anwar would be debating on. has no inkling of what's Malaysia's greatest concern rite now. It's a repeat of his rejecting a motion to discuss the problem of illegal immigrants in Sabah a few months back.

Great sorry for you Anwar. UMNO's egg plants will not hear you. They have adjusted their minds to the state of brain-locked. In addition, every time you start to talk, these UMNO's aubergines think that you are dropping your stools.
