Many people who live far from Penang, Ipoh, PJ and Seremban, who have wanted to join the Candlelight Vigils Against ISA, have been unable to do so. Some people who live in these areas have been unwilling to join these events, or have not been allowed to join. All these people can show their opposition to the ISA by holding Neighbourhood Candlelight Vigils.
I have prepared the template for a flyer to promote these local events. These can be used to canvass for organisers as well as participants. Those who wish to promote the event please copy the template and make your own flyers for distribution. Do translate into other languages as appropriate. Let us start with tens of these neighbourhood vigils which can mushroom into hundreds and then thousands. Let the numbers of people holding candlelight vigils multiply rapidly. Let us show the authorities that a huge part of the nation opposes the draconian ISA. What do you need?
1. A few people willing to stand up for your rights
2. A few candles
How to do?
1. Discuss with some of your neighbours.
2. Choose a day in the week that is convenient.
3. Fix the time for gathering.
4. Print useful articles from the Blogs for distribution.
5. At the agreed time, gather outside your homes.
6. Light candles. Stay there for about 30 minutes.
7. Distribute the materials you have printed.
8. If you want to, sing the Negara Ku.
9. Go back to your homes. What else can you do?

2. Submit a short report to Malaysia Today
