Koh: Lim’s choice won’t affect me PDF Print

(The Star) - PENANG: Whether or not DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng decides to contest in the state is irrelevant to Gerakan acting president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon.

{mosgoogle right}

Dr Koh, who is also chief minister, said Lim's decision would not influence his own decision on whether to remain in the state or move to the federal level.

On Gerakan adviser Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik's observation that he (Dr Koh) had “probably decided”, Dr Koh was curt.

Why do you want to know? Please don’t speculate,” he said.

My decision will not be based on what is good for me or my party.

My primary concern is the people,” he said, adding that it was up to Lim whether he wanted to contest here.

But he must first ask himself whether he is really doing it with an intention to serve the people. He shouldn't care where I stand.”

You are right Dr. Koh. You actually have no face anymore by staying as the weakest CM in Penang. Even the ciku umno can shoo shoo you. Guan Eng's presence will make matters worse for you.

if your primary concern is people, then you should pull Gerakan out of BN or else you should resign then being a running dog

Dear Penang-kias,

The ball is in your court. It's time you educate everyone to deny another 4 years of BS BN happening in Penang. Step one is to kick BN outta Penang and welcome a new change from DAP. Give them a chance to redeem what has been taken from you all these time. A TIME FOR CHANGE IN NEAR!!!

A man must be able to recoognise his own ability. Dr Koh is capable and a man of ability but not as a politician and much less a Chief Minikster.

He is subservient toUMNO and he is actually no Chief Minister but a spokeman for UMNO.

If Penang falls, that’s the end of Gerakan and the party shall now onwards be fondly recalled as ….the political dinosaur, unless she join Keadilan.

Bravo CM Koh, you've put ppl's interests above yours and Gerakan. I hope you've just been awakened to find your party in shambles. Resign and stand as independent to prove your point...Don't dream of joining opposition coz none of them would want a spineless leader like you!
