(The Star) - PENANG: Whether or not DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng decides to contest in the state is irrelevant to Gerakan acting president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon.
{mosgoogle right} Dr Koh, who is also chief minister, said Lim's decision would not influence his own decision on whether to remain in the state or move to the federal level. On Gerakan adviser Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik's observation that he (Dr Koh) had “probably decided”, Dr Koh was curt. “Why do you want to know? Please don’t speculate,” he said. “My decision will not be based on what is good for me or my party. “My primary concern is the people,” he said, adding that it was up to Lim whether he wanted to contest here. “But he must first ask himself whether he is really doing it with an intention to serve the people. He shouldn't care where I stand.”
