If you weren't at the candlelight vigil for RPK at the padang in front of Amcorp Mall, PJ, last Sunday the 26th, then you please consider joining us next Sunday.

Folks had from come from Singapore, Johor Bahru, Seremban, Ipoh. Two weeks ago, my sister and her husband had driven from Bentong. Speaking of which, Haris Ibrahim couldn't make it that evening on account of a court hearing he had in Kuantan, according to Zorro.

1Zorro presided over the vigil. He's a natural, just up and took control of the situation and organised the evening for all of us.

Hishamuddin Rais--yet another graduate of University Kamunting, I hadn't realised there were so many--was among the first to speak.

2Marina was in high spirits. When she touchingly related how easily the tears would flow whenever the family visits RPK in Kamunting, my eyes welled up too. Nov 7th at the Shah Alam high court, the decision on PRK's second habeas corpus hearing will be delivered; there's that chance that the man may be freed then--be there, Marina told us. Keep up with your prayers, too, please.
3Charles Santiago, Klang MP, was among a couple of ADUNs present that night. He'd just returned from some international conference in China where he got participants from various countries to sign a petition for the repeal of the ISA. Good on you, Charles.
4I didn't catch the name of this other ADUN, who assured us of our safety as the padang belongs to the municipal and we have control of the state. Yoohoo!
5Catholic priest, Father Lim gave a short, rousing speech in spite of his cough. He said the ISA goes against the tenets of all religions. Sounds familiar? That’s because that’s what RPK has been telling us too, hasn’t he?
6Helen Ang led us in a song.
7There were others, like this young Dylaneque protest songster.
8The crowd was about 300 strong. In view of the fair weather I'd hoped for more but I suppose some could have been out of town because of the long Deepavali weekend.
8Still, a good cross-section of the people were there...
10...young ones...
11...older ones...
12...intent ones...
13...foxy ones...
14...we are all with RPK.
15See you next week, same time, same place.

Free RPK. Return RPK to his family.Enough of separating people from their families using this draconic and out of date ISA law.Enough is enough!

Yah, the attendance came down a bit due to the long holidays. It was fun and for a good cause. Nice to see so many kids running around. This should convince others to bring theie families and friends. Perhaps organisers should consider making a small collection to supply free Milo drinks to encourage more family attendances. Should'nt cost that much.

Good People of MT & The Organisers!
An observation from an experienced old hand:
Have the Virgil/s on Saturday Evenings-
As there would be many more who would be able to come from afar.
Many who work on Mondays, find it a little taxing
to come in on a Sunday Evening.
There should not be the stress of rushing back!
Have been asked by many, even those who work in the Greater KL Area.

Tks P Loon for your very interesting 'page' of My Little Scrapbook. Like they say a picture says a thousand words! I've been reading every article in this scrapbook and I find them all interesting as each writer has his/her own style, just like in the real scrapbook. Thanks everyone...I enjoyed all of them!
