GEORGE TOWN (Oct 10, 2008): Former MIC Bayan Baru division head Former N. Nyama Segaran, who was just been sacked from the party for "working for the opposition", will consider joining Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).

Contacted by theSun today, an upset Nyama said: "The party did not give me a chance to appeal or give an explanation on this matter."

He will discuss with office bearers of his former division before making a final decision on whether to join the opposition. It is learnt that PKR will receive about 3,000 new members from the largest Indian-based political party in the country tomorrow (Oct 11).

Nyama said his sacking was based on 'baseless allegations', as he did not work for the opposition in the run-up to the recent General Election, as claimed by MIC supremo Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu recently.

He only knew that he had been sacked when a friend called him up after hearing the news over the radio yesterday (Oct 9).

"No one from the party told me about it," Nyana exclaimed. Until today, he has not received any official letter on his sacking from MIC.

Nyama speculated that the party might be unhappy with his attendance at the anti-Internal Security Act forum held at Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's residence on Sept 14.

"I was there as I was unhappy with the arrest of civilians under the Act, as I felt the Act should be against terrorists," he said, adding that he expected a show-cause letter for his action.

The Bayan Baru division would now be overseen by the Penang MIC chief Datuk K. Rajapathy.

We dont need MIC or its members and ex-members. If you want to join PRK start fresh from the bottom and work your way up.

If there are plants in Hindraf, why cant there be plants from MIC in PKR?

He's welcome but do not use PR as a vendetta weapon. Work with PR and serve the Rakyat. That way, you have a good political career.

If the reason of sacking is due to attending ANTI ISA FORUM, then this party is not worth staying.

Simple, ISA is obviously wrong & a violation of human right, it’s against all religious teaching including ISLAM. If any party can’t agree that all human beings should supports ANTI- ISA, if any party can’t differentiate the supports has got nothing to do with the loyalty to the party, then think thrice, are they wise enough to handle more important things like building up a nation ? Does the shouting of ANTI-ISA from their mouths are just for show to please the rakyat only ?

For the sake of our country & your future generations, be wise, be alert, be sharp, be compassionate, be courages, be far-sighted, exercise your right, don't give your supports to the wrong parties who will bring disaster to you and your future generation !

MIC HAS BEEN WORKING AGAINST THE WELFARE AND INTERESTS OF THE COMMUNITY THAT IT PRETENDS TO REPRESENT. IT ONLY SERVES AS A 'COVER UP' FOR THE SELF-SERVING CORRUPTED LEADERS WHO NEED THE 'PROTECTION 'OF THE UMNO-LED REGIME. ALL THE ORDINARY MIC MEMBERS SHOULD LEAVE THE PARTY AND JOIN ANY OF THE OPPOSITION PARTIES THAT IS SENSITIVE AND RESPONSIVE TO THEIR PRESSING NEEDS AND PATHETIC EXISTENCE. OTHERWISE, THE INDIANS ARE DOOMED TO BECOME A 'LOST RACE' JUST LIKE THE MARGINALISED ORNAG ASLI.

Dear fellow Indians leave the sinking ship before it is drowned. If you have an iota of conscience and concern for the future of the community and the nation LEAVE the malaysian idiotic congress of lunatic Sam NOW.
