(The Star) Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin has denied that he is to blame for the early exit of his father-in-law Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as Prime Minister.

He said since the beginning of Abdullah’s premiership, the party leadership had been a “victim of constant and concerted demonisation.” This demonisation took on a very personal tone. It was directed at a few individuals.

“A lot of it was negative perception building. I think it was a deliberate strategy to undermine the leadership,” he said yesterday when met by reporters at the launch of the Institute for Advance Islamic Studies.

Over the years, there have been criticism and scathing attacks against Khairy by a number of people, including former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

They alleged that the Prime Minister was allowing his 32-year-old son-in-law to interfere in the running of the Government, which both Abdullah and Khairy have denied.

Khairy said Abdullah’s decision to leave office in March should be recognised as a sacrifice for party unity.

He added that a change in Umno and the country’s leadership would not reclaim lost support if there was no commitment to the reforms the Prime Minister had started.

“The reason we did not do well in the last election was not because of the leadership but because we did not fulfil the promises of 2004,” he said.

Khairy said Umno should not be under any misplaced illusion that it was a leadership issue.

Khairy, who is aspiring for the Youth chief post in the March party elections, said he hoped his father-in-law’s leaving office would not affect his chances in the contest.

In Alor Star, Jerlun MP Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir called on candidates vying for positions in Barisan Nasional component parties to stop bashing Umno.

“Umno candidates have been careful not to harp on sensitive subjects that could damage the relationship between the component parties,” he said.

“Likewise, candidates from other component parties should do the same. They should not fan sentiments to gain popularity within their own party at the expense of other component parties,” he said.

Must must Ketua Pemuda UMNO be passed on from one son (son-in-law) of a former Prime Minister to do another. First it was Najib Tun Razak, then Hishamuddin Hussein Onn..then it's going to be either Khairy or Mukhriz Mahathir?? Come on UMNO, have some imagination. Let's have somebody fresh, with no bagage. Maybe somebody from Sabah.

Khairy, stop being deffensive, still remember you saying that you are going to bury Anwar in Permatang Pauh?

And you dare challenge yourself to step down should Anwar win..but I could see now you are wiggling like a worm, desperately trying to save your own skin as the HEAT is getting unbearable.

Khairy,

Ur Father-in-Law won like a Tsunami in 2004. He took over Trengganu and even almost took over Kelantan.

But Ur FIL do not understand what he was talking about and did nothing... You tried to be a champion ...a spokesman.. and even you boss Hishamuddin dare not over right you..

All we saw was he bought an Executive Jet, Got a new wife, Build a big house in Australia, Bought a big sailing boat in turkey, announcing multi bilion corridor projects all over, create more corruption in UMNO (Including himself and you).... and the list goes on everyday...

He betray the Malays as a whole.. and same goes to you...

His decision to leave office in March IS NOT SEEN as a sacrifice for party his unity.... but to save himself... if he don't I am sure his party will kick his butt out of the party...

To tell you the truth.. every UNO President got their ass kicked out of the party except najib's father who died while in office... and the kicker of the all the butts was done but no one else but by TDM... Tunku, Hussein, and your FIL all was kicked by the same old man...

Beware, You will be next...

More and more Malaysians are going to suffer from high blood pressure. These politicians that we have are just pathetic. Absolutely no quality and no direction in leading this country. Isn't it a pity that most educated and qualified Malaysians choose either to leave this country or stay away from politics. What are we left with?
Greedy, selfish, stupid and corrupted politicians.

(The Star) Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin has denied that he is to blame for the early exit of his father-in-law Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as Prime Minister.

Yeah, we are hearing it from the mouth of a crocodile. Still in the state of denial.
This is the crook who have been running at high speed robbing and enriching himself with the state coffers, this is the crook that have been slowly but surely disposing off national assets, while reaping millions in commission to the his business buddies across the causeway – they love him so much that they call him “The Quiet Singaporean”. This is the crook that have almost plundered Khazanah Nasional and Felda without having a second thought about the settlers who have for decades works Felda out into what it is today. This is the crook that want it all with no regards of others.

This crook, Khairy Jamaluddin wanted to be the UMNO Youth Leader and he will use all the means available for him to achieve his objective, even to sacrifice his father in law. He don’t even hold any regards for the poor old man. This crook is out to reap and rob as much money as possible to buy POWER.

This crook deserved to be lynched and paraded in Dataran Merdeka for high treason.

Wake up UMNO Youth, wake up UMNO, wake up BN and Malaysian. This is the same crook that has been running around with deception and asking you to elect him to high office.

Think again.
