Tsu Koon: Cultivate New Leaders To Regain Penang Regime (Part 3) PDF Print

Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon, who has just officially become Gerakan President said that the two term time frame set when he decided to contest for the post was meant to complete his political work, including cultivating new leaders and paving the way to regain the Penang regime.

He stressed that the time frame was not meant to avoid competition but it is a commitment for his sense of responsibility.

"Although I was serving the party wholeheartedly in the past seven years, I still think that I haven't done enough. Thus, I wish to try my best to do more and better. I hope to convey my will," said Dr Koh.

He told Sin Chew Daily in an exclusive interview that Gerakan's position may be clearer, more specific and significant in the coming six years (two terms). He hoped to see more talents and current leaders will be cultivated to be the successors.

When being asked whether this includes taking the Penang state government, he said: "It may be a long-term goal but we must lay the foundation from now on."

He said that for the next general election would be a big challenge for Gerakan. And if Gerakan is still part of BN in the next general elections, it would be quite hard for the party to regain the Penang regime based on today's situation and the people's feelings.

He also said that even if Gerakan pulls out from BN and joins Pakatan Rakyat, it would be quite impossible for Gerakan to regain some seats from the hands of DAP and PKR. And this is not just referring to Penang, but Perak and Selangor as well.

"If Gerakan contests as the third force, it means a three-way fight with BN, Pakatan Rakyat and Gerakan. What would be the result if we contests as a small party and fights with two major force? We need an objective analysis and discussion," Dr Koh said.

Regarding his future deputy and team, Dr Koh said the team's power is important and it is an inevitable process for a group of liked-minded people to form a team in a political party or an organisation. But it should not turn out into camps confronting each other.

We should have a healthy competition but not a confrontational way as we are comrades after all. Regardless who is the winner, we are still together, he said.

As for the problem of some leaders who left the party after the general elections, he said: "Those who stay and quietly do their work are not reported but those who leave, regardless whether they are holding high or low positions, are highlighted!"

He said although he feels bad and disappointed, if they insist to quit after the party has tried to persuade them, the party will not force them to stay. We can only accept the fact.

“Of course, we hope all to stay and keep contribute to the party,” he added. (Sin Chew Daily)

You do not have a ghost of a chance to come back to power. You and your party have been swept aside. So do the best thing. Dissolve your party and get your members to join PR. Better still, support PR's forthcoming no confidence motion, get sacked from BN and join PR. That way you cannot be accused of being a katak.

KTK,

Gerakan is no more! Accept the sentiments of the people. Do the right thing at the right moment. It is now! Join PR en masse and you shall survive the next elections! Your people are just wasting time fighting for hollow positions within the party.

" Respect must Earned ". Hence a leader cannot lead effectively unless he has the respect of his followers.

Malaysians are now better educated and exposed to the outside world. Therefore expectations have changed - for the better. Leaders must lead by example and earn the respects of his followers first.

To you it's all about seats allocation huh... nothing to do with fighting for a just cause... defending the defenseless... upholding the truth.. Don't you realise KTK that this current system is destroying the whole fabric of Malaysian unity (if there was indeed any unity at all..)and the real culprit is UMNO itself. Malaysia will be destroyed as a nation if BN continues with its racial policy. You can do your bit to stop this destruction... disassociate yourselves with UMNO and BN.

KTK, why do you want to regain the Penang regime when LGE & Penang are doing well even with the cut in Federal spending in Penang. Leave them to develop Penang well - what you never achieved.

Why don't you join them.

Politics is not about allocation of seats, it is about the welfare of the rakyat. It does not matter who runs the country as long as they manage it in a fair and just manner. If PR manages the country better than BN, what is wrong with dissolving Gerakan and joining the managing team. The question is do you have the rakyat at your heart or are you only interested in fame and fortune which comes with winning of seats.

Ah Khoon aah,
you've had your chance to serve the people of Penang, but instead you served umNO. Now the people have kicked you out .. you are hopeless irrelevant ... When you were in power you could have been a 'god'; out of power you're a DOG (read 'god' backwards).
However there is still one hope for you ... be 'born again' into PKR if you want to be really sincerely to SERVE (not to sapu top seats, yah).
AhKhoon aah, grab your second chance to be a sincere politician to SERVE, otherwise just go into oblivion lah.

"You assist an evil system by obliging its orders and decrees.
An evil system never deserves such allegiance.
Allegiance to it means collaboration with the evil.
A man of principles will resist an evil system with his whole soul.
Non-collaboration with evil is a sacred duty!

It may be long before the law of love will be recognized in
this beautiful country. The machinery of evil administration
stands in-between and hides the loving hearts of the Nation!"

Honestly, really!!! my seven year old son would make a better leader than this chi-hua-hua. The word "TRY" is never in my son's vocabulary.

Tsu Koon, come on, face it. you are pathetic. Gerakan is like this today because of Lim Keng Yakyakyak as president and you as Penang CM. Your 2 more terms will only kill Gerakan and nothing else. your Umno coalition brother no tiau you and tear your photo and spat and stomped on it. And they dont need to apologise because you have no spine and will just crawl back to them. You are pathetic.

Soh Chai Kun is still dreaming together with his sleeping master. He does not realise that the only thing for him to do is to leave Gerakan and dont talk about BN. Even his own people does not support him anymore so why talk so much about reform and all. Soh Chai Kun please what up and face the real world. You are irrelevant already.
