With the approach of their respective party conferences and elections, It is common nowadays to read of the fierce speeches and statements by leaders and ministers of MCA, Gerakan, MIC, SUPP and other Barisan Nasional component parties, undertaking to learn from the mistakes of the past and pledging to stop being puppets or parrots of UMNO “Big Brother” and to speak up for the basic rights and interests of the people.

All these are political “sharp practices” – as the leaders and Ministers from MCA, Gerakan, MIC, SUPP and other BN component parties are equally guilty as their Umno counterparts for the worsening multiple crisis of confidence in the past seven months because of their failure to insist on government reforms after the March 8 political tsunami.

Seven full months have passed since the March general elections – and it is not only the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and UMNO which have nothing to show, the MCA, Gerakan, MIC, SUPP and other BN component parties have also nothing to show in terms of long-needed reforms.

What is worse, things have gone from bad to worse as could be seen by the worsening multiple crisis of confidence, whether political, economic, educational, institutional, anti-corruption or nation-building.

As long as they are still eating the icing cake with the red & biggest cherry on it, reforms, basic rights and interests of the people and release of ISA detainees are frozen in the freezer.
A No, No to democracy.

That will be day.In order to do a manly thing, you need what is known in biology as testicles.Something very lacking in BE END compononent parties.

8.

First line of para 6: “UMNO Bukit Bendera division chief Ahmad Ibrahim’s “Chinese are penumpang” was the last straw…”

“Ahmad Ibrahim” should read “Ahmad Ismail”!

Sad to say, the whole BN gang (apart from Zaid Ibrahim who wisely quit after 6 months from his post) are a dead loss - so used are they to serving their own greed instead of the public good. A special hell is reserved for those who were given the golden opportunity to live meaningful and purposeful lives - and chose instead to obey their baser instincts.

ahmadneil,

We are leaving MT, as we are not allowed to post lengthy comments. Two postings of us were removed again yesterday, under the heading We are weak in Mathematics and The Tunku on Mahathir.

We can only display them as main articles. As we have severe constraints in doing so, for many reasons we cannot explain,(to protect our team members temporarily, until Anwar takes over the government), we have decided to leave MT. Reason: All our postings are lengthy, they cannot be shortened. We respect the decision of MT. No hard feelings.

Thanks for all your past support!

Dear sjs,

Is it allowed by MT for you to break up into many segments? (Not immediately after one another). Or is it another reason?
Most of us don't mind waiting to read your 'refreshing' articles.
Enjoyed reading your past comments.

Uncle Lim,these people are not interested in the wellfare of the people of this country, they are only concerned about their position, power and money. We cannot expect BN to work for us,these people are expecting us to help them to maintain their status quo.

They will glue to each other like buddies and do not expect them to leave BN,they can't survive individually, they are parasites !

Racism is the key to the political survival of UMNO, MCA and MIC. Recently, PAS is also flirting with it by singing Islam-Melayu eventhough Malays are not the only Muslim in this country. In any country, the small area urban economy is always more vibrant and competitive compare to the large area agricultural economy in the rural region which is less rewarding. It is the same in all parts of the world and in any type of government. Any success in building a progressive economy, whether urban or rural, will depend on the economic vialbility in that area. Therefore the backwardness of the rural Malays is not the doing by others. It is natural economic evolvement. But to propagate the politic of race, the race-based political parties will make loud calls to the people of their own race that they will need to protect and defend their right and survival against their fellow citizens of other races as if the others have taken away their wealth. No one owe us a living. We work hard to try to survival and succeed. But the raced based politic makes use of discriminative measures among races in the name of redistribution of wealth to the agony of the citizens. It segregates and disunites the population and misle*** them to believe that there will be chaos if such race based policies are not implemented to the satisfaction of certain group. After 51 years, is there still a big gap between rural and urban economy? Of course there is, because this a natural economic evolvement, unless the country imposes absolute communist economy. Even China failed to continue that. To bridge the rural disadvantage, the natural phenomenon is a rural migration to seek for better opportunities in the urban centers. Again it happens everywhere in the world. So for the race based politic to lay blame on others for the predicament of the rural Malays in their economic backwardness is a misplaced notion but a political expedience. Unless these race based political parties carry out the necessary reform to open to all Malaysians, their narrow and selfish political objectives will destroy this country in the face of global challenges.

there are still people who are dumb enough to stay and support lame duck non Umno BN component parties such as MCA, MIC, Gerakan, LDP, SUPP, PBS, Upko, PBRS, PBB et al. The following letter from a Malaysian living abroad will hopefully open the eyes of these people and hopefully make them realize that the only other option left for them is to support Pakatan Rakyat as Umno will continue to be arrogant as stated in Malaysiakini...More http://margeemar.blogspot.com

Dear fellow comrades,

As per request from sjs to deregister from MT, they are no longer members of the MT, effective immediately. They have left us with great sadness, as they are not allowed to post long comments, but as articles. They have heavy restraints in doing so, which they have explained to me in an email, which is confidential. Respect their wishes. Their last words to all of you...We are sad to leave you half-way, but we have no choice, take care. Any comments on us will not be replied, as we are no longer members of MT. Thanks, take care all and you were all great.

Comrades, my apologies but here's the revised text :

But we still can see them with sadness. We have sworn allegiance to our country of domicile, but our strong love to our motherland, Malaysia, will forever remain in our hearts. For this is the land, our mothers have pained in labour! Raja Petra and Anwar, with tears, we say, help our country, help all our fellow Malaysians until your last breath! In this way we will feel justified, that our cause too which is your cause, buried in your hearts for long, will bloom one day, in this beautiful roseland of Malaysia!

To our daughters, sons, sisters and brothers, with tears we say goodbye."

Quote from the article:

"Seven full months have passed since the March general elections – and it is not only the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and UMNO which have nothing to show, the MCA, Gerakan, MIC, SUPP and other BN component parties have also nothing to show in terms of long-needed reforms."

It has been understand long ago(3 decades?) that MCA, Gerakan, and MIC, are all lap dogs of UMNO. They have been very faithful and obedient lap dogs. To my observation, the chief lap dog must surely be Koh Tsu Khoon. He has been governing Penang as UMNO's proxy. And the saddest part is that most of their own members are not aware of that.

Now these component parties are trying to make some barking sound. UMNO can just smile and laugh in understanding such "sandiwara". None of the rakyat believes them anymore. At the end of the day, they will all be jumping at every command of UMNO.

By the way MCA, has UMNO approved the list of candidates for your party's general elections?

I can understand how sjs feels. I have had my Zaid Ibrahim letter to Bodohwi removed, too, and strangely, my article "A Fearless Patriot in Our Midst" about RPK was published under comments in full in Haris' Blog, but when I wrote in to Labisman to publish it on MT, I got no reply.

The article on Damn Zainudding was also removed as it was lengthy, but I don't bother to write in to MT to publish any articles any more, I just post them in comments until they get removed.

I live with it, as much as possible, for MT's ideals are mine, as well.

You think that these clowns will have the balls to leave BN? As long as they can still have the crumbs, they will continue to kowtow those Umno masters. All the so-called "fierce speeches and statements" are just for attracting votes. The BN component parties realise that the rakyat want changes and reformation in Malaysia. So I guess they just pretend to make so much noise just for attraction. You think they dare to leave? No lahhhh...they are still happy with what they get eventhough it's just crumbs! They are not like some Sabah parties who are more daring to stand for their rights. If they have the guts, follow SAPP stand! Or are they scared that the govt will dig their past wrongdoings and end-up being sued or ISAed?
