Foreign & Local Policy Must Not Be Bent Towards Any Community &/or Religion... PDF Print

Only Towards The Poor! & done so in a secular, transparent & fair manner.

Why can't so many people just 'get the message', that it is all about good governance at the end of the day! Don't get sidetracked & attempt to manipulate & divide, by your insecurities about race, religion, community, sectarianism, schools of thoughts, etc.!

There are many aspects to the 'incompetence' of governance, that Helen Ang writes about (excerpts below).

DAP, PKR & PAS MPs & members, have also displayed many of them (example). Actions Always Speak Louder Than Words! - some of the reasons that inspired this article of mine that appeared on Malaysia Today.

So quit your preaching hypocrites! & get on with your jobs! The People (The Boss), will judge based on your deeds, character & results - over time & taking the 'big picture' into consideration. (We are in this together and the struggle for justice is universal; it is not bounded by race, religion, ethnicity or other such distinctions which, as our history reveals, have been easily exploitable by those more driven by sectarian and selfish interests and less by our collective future as a nation. - G. Krishnan)

Too many politicians, including those from Pakatan Rakyat operate from this easier (lazy) & more natural point of perspective - communal, sectarian & even racist (my race being better than yours), though they won't admit it &/or are even aware of it... living in denial!

Basically, Helen Ang's argument is for a Civil Society that all people of whatever race, religion, age, creed, sex can live in harmoniously and be confident of being treated fairly and justly.

She further argues for not only lip service, but the actual implementation of a Civil Society without bigotry and racism. This is an Utopia that I want to live in and one which we should all strive for.

For Civil Society to be sustainable, checks & balances need to be in place so that Draconian and undemocratic legislation like the ISA can never take root here, to be used by DESPOTS like Si-Botak All-Blur, NAJIS, & Bodohwi, and Mad Hatter, to OPPRESS PATRIOTS like Raja Petra Kamarudin, or ordinary citizens as well.

Mirage, I remember the days when my father's Muslim colleagues would attend our CNY open house but in later years they simply stopped coming. One old friend told my mom that the younger Muslims do not want to eat at our place as they fear contamination with pork from our utensils.

What could we do?

Thus no more open house thus saving money and less Ang Pow to give out.

Since they do not visit us during CNY we saw little reason to visit them during Hari Raya.
