ISA, senjata hilang bisaâ€¦.

Bagi sesetangah pihak (Umno dan pencabul hak asasi manusia), apabila Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) dihantar ke Kem Kamunting, “Gerakan Gerillawan Siber” dapat dibunuh dan selepas ini kenyakkan blog-blog dan laman web alternatif dapat dimatikan.

Tetapi mereka silap. Apabila RPK dipenjarakan tanpa bicara selama dua tahun, maka akan lahir lebih ramai lagi penulis blog. Blog bertumbuh dan bercambah setiap hari. Kebencian rakyat terhadap regim Barisan Nasional semakin memuncak.

Lebih keras penindasan maka lebih keraslah perlawanan. Jika jumlah yang melawan menjadi semakin besar, muatkah Kem Tahanan Kamunting?

Muatkah jika digunakan semua penjara di Malaysia digunakan?

Senjata penindasan ISA yang diwariskan daripada British sebagai ganjaran kepada Umno kerana memberi peluang kepada mereka (baca: penjajah) merompak harta kekayaan negara sudah semakin hilang taringnya. ISA bertujuan untuk menimbulkan ketakutan dikalangan rakyat dan mematikan gerakan yang melawan regim sudah tidak lagi berjaya mencapai objektifnya.

Semenjak Reformasi bermula ISA telah beberapa kali digunakan.

Apakah ISA berjaya mematikan gerakan?

Apakah ISA berjaya menyebabkan pejuang-pejuang belot?

Berikut adalah trend penggunaan ISA dan kesannya:

1) 1998: Anwar dan penyokong Reformasi ditahan ISA ketika gerakan untuk menjatuhkan Dr. Mahathir memuncak.

Ramai yang terpenjara termasuk Abdul Malek Husin, Sharrifuddin Budin, Ahmad Shabrimi, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (Belot pada tahun yang sama. Sekarang Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri), Rahman Ibrahim dan ramai lagi. Kebanyakkannya masih lagi bersama. Cuma beberapa kerat orang sahaja mengundur.

Penggunaan ISA tidak mematikan gerakan Reformasi. Gerakan berterusan dan pada pilihanraya umum ke 10, undi Melayu berpihak kepada pakatan pembangkang. Terengganu jatuh ketangan PAS. Kelantan kekal dibawah PAS. Ahli-ahli parlimen pembangkang bertambah diparlimen.

Desakan demi desakan, demonstrasi demi demonstrasi menyebabkan Dr. Mahathir terpaksa meletakan jawatan kerana khuatir Umno akan kalah dengan lebih teruk pada pilihanraya umum 2004.

Talking is also an action. It is in fact a sharp weapon especially when used by brains as nitid and competent as RPK's. When the majority of the population is confused and uncertain, talking is sometimes the best way. Taking action when one is unsure what action to take is foolhardy.

Guys, believe our Gomen had manage to deviate our attention from that of a sensational cases such as the 'missing PI', 'Altantuya'and now soon 'RPK' and next 'DSAI'. Anymore?? Continue exposing these cases pls, lets not put 'RPK's effort to waste ma.

Can someone help draft a few letters addressed to the relevant authorities of the USA or the UN on the state of Malaysia and the abolishment of the ISA? I don't think shaving heads or wearing yellow t-shirts will "scare" the Government into releasing RPK and the rest of the detainees. However, a good written letter with sense of urgency with lots of signatures to the USA and UN might do the trick.

Puan Marina 'walked into the Forum on Abolish ISA, the whole hall full of supporterss screamed, cheered and stood-up!

Malaysia needs a capable, visionary PM to lead the country. We need someone who can create stability, peaceful, hormony to the country. All this has been talk, talk and talk for many years. Worst to come, this country is plunged into deep hole and yet the present leader is still happy with what they had done, claiming Agong is happy with his report cards. If you had done great things to the country, people will be happy and we will not show our anger. Once we become vocal, you use ISA to arrest and want us to shutup! Why don't you realise and see for yourselves your ACTUAL report cards??? What had you done and create havoc to this country??? Do you deserve us to salute you??? The current leader are the main security threat to Malaysia and these people should be locked up in Kamunting!!!
