My dear brothers and sisters....Vanakam .

It's time now for us to get united again !!

Once again the Government has refused to review and repeal the draconian Internal Security Act(ISA).  There are 64 detainees under ISA, some have spent more than 6 years without being charged in court.  Each night that every detainee spends under ISA is a night too long.

While you and me spend our evenings cocooned in the safety of our homes with our families, out at Kamunting there are 64 individuals who have been torn apart from there families and denied their basic human rights, we also know now, how poorly fed they are.

The time is now to call to free our  Hindraf heroes, blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin and every other person who has been denied the rights to defend themselves and who are detained without trial under the draconian Internal Security Act (ISA).

All efforts to revoke this dreaded ISA, from our de facto law minister’s resignation, to even Cabinet Minister denouncing this law, have fallen on deaf ears.  Innumerable and various legal approaches for the release of individuals have failed to free them.   Even the judicial system in seems to have failed the ISA detainees.

Therefore my dear brothers and sisters, we plead that you once again stand united beyond all our ideological, political, religious and socio economical differences.

In accordance to our Rukun Negara principles of being the citizens who ‘Believe In God’ and practicing ‘Loyalty To The King And Country’, who always believed in ‘Upholding The Constitution’ and respect the ‘Rule Of Law’ which eventually results in ‘Good Behavior and Morality’.

We urge all Malaysians to gather in peace.

Venue :  Dataran Merdeka , Kuala Lumpur

Date    : Saturday, 27th September 2008

Time    : 7.00pm

Come friends, lets garner support to light up a candle for each night that our ISA detainees have remained in prison.  Each of your candles will denote one night too long that our ISA detainees have spent under detention.

Let this candle vigil send out a strong message, THE PEOPLE ARE THE BOSS. Let your voice rise up against this injustice to the ruling Barisan Nasional government to immediately release unconditionally the  Hindraf Heroes, Blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin and all others who have  been unlawfully detained under ISA .

The Bar Council, in their recent EGM unanimously voted for the abolishment of the Internal Security Act. We seek the Bar council of Malaysia, the various  political party leaders , elected MPs , ADUNs, NGOs and every concerned Malaysian citizen who sincerely desire to repeal the ISA to come and lend their support.

To the Prime Minister, we welcome the police to protect peaceful Malaysian citizens to practice Article 10 of the federal constitution, which allows the citizens of Malaysia to gather peacefully.

Therefore please mark your calendars to gather peacefully on Saturday, 27th September 2008 at 7pm at Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur.

Once again failing this beautiful peaceful candle vigil is “NOT AN OPTION!!!”

Bring along candles, we are gathering in peace and love. Once again we ask everyone to respect the principles of Ahimsa (PEACE AND NON-VIOLENCE) and excuse any of our police brothers in the event they have to carry out their duty.

Our system has denied justice to 64 ISA detainees, are you going to allow them to languish further?  Some of these detainees, like our beloved YM Raja Petra Kamarudin, the Hindraf heroes spoke out for you and me, spoke up for a better Malaysia, spoke up for our next generation!!  Now is our turn, what can we do for them?

Pick up your candles and join us for the vigil to repeal the draconian ISA.

JUSTICE FOR RPK, JUSTICE FOR HINDRAF HEROES, JUSTICE FOR ALL ISA DETAINEES.

Suara Rakyat, Makal Shakati!!!

Sambulingam Wisvalingam

National Hindraf Coordination team.

May I propose we hold candle light vigil at Najis C4/Rospxkxmah's home and also Syed Botak's home. RPK's detention is engineered by the two suspect murderers of the Mongolian woman and signed by Syed Botak.

we are now confronting head-on against the battalions of evil creatures from BN/UMNO. They seem to be more powerful than us. As we are to them, a speck in the ocean.

Never to give up hope, for our dear ALMIGHTY, OUR BELOVED LORD, is keeping watch for us. Trust HIM, when HE SHALL DIMINISH THE EVIL ONES INTO ASHES...when peace shall prevail....

Just keep on praying, it does not matter what religion you practise, one thing is certain, we share the same God who never failed to help those in distress...
HE will never failed us, have faith in HIM...

My Indian and Chinese Brothers and Sisters,

For once I speak to you as an Indian, who believes in multiracialism, and deeply love this country, Malaysia!

The time has come that we have to ask ourselves truly today; whether we are really the kind of human-beings that Raja Petra has fought so hard for! Have we forgotten the words spoken by him! If we did, then let us remind each other again:

“And ask the Malays in the opposition to come out in defence of their non-Malay brothers and sisters and warn the Umno Malays, in no uncertain terms, that they take to the streets at the risk of facing fellow Malays from the opposition who will defend their non-Malay brethren to the last drop of their blood. I, for one, am ready to stand by my Chinese and Indian comrades. So let Umno be warned.”

We have to ask ourselves whether we have been vocal enough to voice our concerns for the immediate release of Raja Petra?

We have to ask ourselves whether we too have fallen into the racism trap which has been the hallmark of UMNO members?

We have to ask ourselves, whether we have done enough in getting Raja Petra released?

We have to ask ourselves whether we are really worthy of his defence of our rights?

We have to ask ourselves whether our battle to fight these draconian laws have already stopped?

Let us be worthy to the cause of our struggle! Let us not be branded as Chinese and Indian, who will care only of their own kinds! Let us stand up together and be heard once and for all that we too will fight against any Malay or non- Malay and defend the rights of our Muslim brothers who have been victimized time and again for the noble cause which they have so vehemently championed!

Let us show that we too are made of steel and will fight till the end to bring Raja Petra out of the dungeon of cruelty! Let us all be counted upon!

Our hero, RAJA PETRA, is the chosen one. Without him, we are totally in the dark. He helps open all doors so that each one of us could peek into the dark secrets committed by those whom we have trusted for the last 51 years.

To Raja, we owe our gratitude. We love you, Raja. You shield us from ignorance, you enlighten us with so much facts and figures that we can never get them elsewhere..

thank you. may God watch over you constantly..Stay fit and healthy for all of us..

Anak-Anak Bangsa Malaysian Sekalian,

In addition to expressing your anguish and outrage here in blog and silence protest with vigil, you could also do other efforts that can help releasing RPK. Here is one of those efforts: flood calls to prime minister office days and nights. In a blog site dedicated to coordinating civil right movement, we have initiated a call for help releasing RPK. We have gone through analyzing our options to act, and now come to executing the voted action. The voted option is to flood phone calls to the Prime Minister office starting from 1 PM Monday (Sep 22) to 1 PM Wednesday . There are detail you need if you plan to participate. The site to get those detail is: http://malaysiacivilright.********.com/.

Try to channel your energy to maximum positive effect possible! There are many of us and the combined energy is very strong, despite each of us by himself/herself is quite gullible by the state power.

Regards,
Shiou

From Matthew Chapter 5:

5. Blessed are those who mourn: they shall be comforted.
6. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for uprightness: they shall have their fill.
7. Blessed are the merciful: they shall have mercy shown them.
8. Blessed are the pure in heart: they shall see God.
9. Blessed are the peacemakers: they shall be recognised as children of God.
10. Blessed are those who are persecuted in the cause of uprightness: the kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
11. Blessed are you when people abuse you and persecute you and speak all kinds of calumny against you falsely on my account.
12. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven; this is how they persecuted the prophets before you.

Hot on the heels of the Perlis Mufti's criticism of the use of the ISA, the Cathedral of the Holy Spirt in Penang, the seat of the Catholic Church in the northern region, has delivered a powerful indictment of the draconian law in a special Mass attended by some 600 800 concerned Malaysians.
"We are fed up," said deputy parish priest Fr Fabian Dicom, in a searing denouncement of the ISA. "The ISA must go now. What we are saying here can be found in the verses of our scriptures."
Dicom's call was echoed in another stirring denunciation by parish priest Fr Francis Anthony at the end of the Mass.
The main celebrant wore purple vestments, "the colour of mourning," explained Dicom, who concelebrated Mass with half a dozen priests from the Penang diocese including Anthony and Fr Marshall Fernandez, the parish priest of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Pulau Tikus.
"We should not rest until we sound the death knell for the ISA," added Dicom, whereupon the congregation inside heard the faint tolling of a church bell.
The crowd broke out in loud and sustained applause each time the priests called for an immediate end to the ISA and for the release of all ISA detainees. Among those present were Penang-based civil society activists and bloggers as well as folks from the mainland.
Images of Teresa Kok, Raja Petra and the Hindraf Five flashed across the overhead screens as the parishoners prayed for justice, peace and the immediate release of all ISA detainees.
The interior of the Cathedral was later bathed with the warm orange glow of hundreds of candles held up high by the parishoners as they loudly sang hymns.
This is part of one of the songs:
Be not afraid.
I go before you always;
Come follow me,
and I will give you rest.
If you pass through raging waters in the sea, you shall not drown.
If you walk amid the burning flames, you shall not be harmed.
If you stand before the pow'r of hell and death is at your side, know that I am with you through it all.
Be not afraid.
I go before you always;
Come follow me,
and I will give you rest.
Blessed are your poor, for the kingdom shall be theirs.
Blest are you that weep and mourn, for one day you shall laugh.
And if wicked men insult and hate you all because of me, blessed, blessed are you!

WHAT IS THE POINT of forcing people to have good race relation when the REAL cause of the bad relation as shown in the last 50 years is UMNO itself?

just one proof? By promoting racial segretation in Universities, such as Uitm, which is the main insrument of either uniting or disuniting the races?

COMMON all malaysians..... LISTEN TO THIS WISE MESSAGES...

THE EASIEST WAY TO NURTURE GOOD RELATION IS WIPE OUT UMNO, the rascist party.

Teresa Kok has already started the motion for good race relation by taking care of all races in her constituency, by visiting sick moslems on Ramadhan, something she got rewarded instead with ISA...

so If U want all races in Malaysia to love one another, ALL OF YOU MUST REMOVE THE SOURCE OF HATE FIRST;... which is UMNO..

see.. Pendatang Ahmad Ismail, big nose like a crook, caused racial hatred, But remains free, never tasted ISA..

This is what the British newspaper the Guardian has to say in its editorial
http://www.guardian.co.uk/comm.../malaysia

In praise of ... Raja Petra Raja Kamarudin
All comments (0)

* Editorial
* The Guardian,
* Article history

If jailing bloggers has become the latest way repressive regimes cope with the blogosphere, Malaysia has taken this trend one step further this week. They served their highest-profile anti-government blogger, Raja Petra Raja Kamarudin, with a two-year detention order, removing him from the oversight of the courts. It is no small source of shame that the law they are using to detain him without charge is a legacy of British colonial rule against the communist insurgency. Raja Petra, who edits the Malaysia Today website, has had several brushes with the law. He was charged in May this year with sedition for alleging that a senior government minister was linked to the murder of a Mongolian model who was pestering him for money after he ended their affair. After his release on bail, he was detained again under the same draconian Internal Security Act on September 12 for "insulting Islam". Blogging from his cell, Raja reported that his special branch interrogators admitted they found that none of his articles had insulted Islam. They told him his style of writing was so sophisticated that his readers could possibly misinterpret what he was trying to say. To anyone outside the Malaysian government it is obvious who this blogger is: a well-informed critic of a corrupt regime. The renewable detention order is a way of putting him beyond the reach of the courts, where the specious actions against him can be exposed for what they are. As he says himself, "heads they win, tails I lose".

“NOT TO ATTEND ANY OF THE UMNO RAYA OPEN HOUSES!. NOT THE PM, NOT THE DPM NOT ANY WHAT SOEVER.”

The Syed Hamid has signed the detention order citing that RPK was involved in articles that insult Islam. I wonder if a signature compaign can be organised with and signed by Muslim malaysian saying that his articles never insulted Islam. If a sizable figure of signatures by the Muslim rakyat said he is not anti Islam, I wonder what will Syed Hamid say. So far, it is he alone and maybe the police have said RPK did it. I know we now have very low trust with the police investigations. Catch a reporter and said is a threat to national Security but change mind after 18 hours and case 2 of Teresa Kok..
So if say 1 million muslim malaysian said RPK is not anti muslim, can they still dispute it and not release him. Afterall just after the election, the government was always using words like... we must listen to the people and we are doing things for the people.
