I’m posting this from RPk’s house.

10 cops came here at about 1.10 this afternoon and detained him under section 73 of the ISA. I’m told that by 1.50pm, they were out of the house.

Destination unknown.

For now, at least.

I’ve received sms’s asking if we are going to take to the streets.

People, do not play into the hands of the authorities.

Let’s not knee-jerk.

If we are going to do any vigils or peaceful demonstrations, let these be planned.

Will keep you posted on these, if any.

What I can tell you is that Pakatan Rakyat is holding a Hari Malaysia celebration on 15th September, 2008 at the Kelana Jaya stadium to commemorate 45 years of the formation of Malaysia, since 1963. The even starts at 8pm.

We are going to utilise that event to show solidarity with RPK.

I will try to get more details of that event and update all of you when I can.

Meanwhile, please start an sms campaign. Please send out the sms below. Can someone do translations in BM, Tamil and Mandarin, please? Send it in and I will put it up.

as long as isa is law it will continue to be used by these childish mental case grownups to shut out discussions and the truth. the bar council which represents 13000 lawyers has not been able to do zil except eat with these arseholes who use isa to put people away. this country has no respect for the courts judges magistrates as even the courts are left out of this process. so this is the rule of law that our pm dpm law ministers home minister foreign ministers talk about. all those people who have titles like datukships etc should just return it to sender until this country is run by evolved human beings not animals.. you should be ashamed to be called datuks ybs and whaever else shit that you carry yourself with

Ahmad Ismail - shouting racist remarks live on National TV and published on mainstream dailies still running around scot free with BN/UMNO saying he should not be arrested under ISA.

But RPK's writes something controversial (against govt) on his blog site - ISA is the solution.

This is how BN runs our country.
Anyone who still wants to give BN a chance must be day dreaming.

On the same note of not getting into the trap.

Everyone must not be too emotional.

It is a peaceful celebration of the country we love so keep it that way.

There are people who may attempt to sabotage the event and so we have to be careful and stay cool all the time.

Important thing is to keep the event peaceful and successful. We want the government to know that we want to move forward as Malaysians. CALL US MALAYSIANS.
