Cowards using ISA on Raja Petra?

If this is true…then it’s a repeat or you can say…a prelude to 1987.

Just because Mahathir Mohamad is returning to UMNO, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi wants to become worst than him, to show off his mighty power by imposing the Internal Security Act on bloggers.

Evil breeds evil.

What else can we describe cowards who use such weapons against its own citizens? And none of the reasons used was convincing.

Anyway, this is Raja Petra’s second time in ISA, the first was in 2001. His articles on Malaysia Today is said to have insulted Islam.

Since ISA is a law that detains one without trial, it is unlikely that Raja Petra can defend himself.

That is why this is a coward law used by cowards in power.

I wish that we had a government that would be responsible for all it's actions and not have to lock poor people away. I was willing to tolerate things like the fuel hike and the prices of things going up. But taking a man away from his family and not letting the people have their say is against all I believe in. smilies/angry.gif

so, it has happened after all, out of choices, the desperate government have used their ultimate and most unfair power, the ISA.
detention without charge, what a cowardly tool.
this shows how scared our government is towards the Pakatan, how undemocratic our country is under the current ruling party..
desperate times call for desperate measures, eh, BN?
but the people will still be behind RPK, behind M2Day, and the Pakatan.

ISA like it or not is a law in Malaysia. So, no body is above the law. But for those supporters of RPK, the least we can do and I think the best avenue is to organize a signature campaign to petition to the Yang Dipertuan Agung for a royal pardon for RPK.

This ISA is authorised by the Home Ministry. Is the Home Ministry an authority in Islam where they could decide whether the MT articles go against Islam? Which are the offending sentences and in what way they offended Islam. All these must be specified clearly before an arrest can be made! They cannot simply make an arrest without trial by thinking that the articles offended Islam.

This is where knowledgeable persons in PAS and other International Islam organisations can render their help to RPK by reviewing RPK's articles in Malaysia Today and explaining them to the public locally and internationally that they are not against Islam.

We need this group of knowledgeable scholars to explain to the public and in doing so expose the hypocrisy of UMNO and the shallow knowledge of the Home Ministry and the UMNO linked Islamic organisations like JAWI, JAKIM, IKIM etc who are under the thumb of UMNO!
