Anwar: Sept 16 target may not be achieved PDF Print

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s targeted date of Sept 16 to capture the Government may not be achieved due to anticipated problems delaying the transition of power.

“After discussing with PAS and DAP, the date can be postponed even though our target was Sept 16 previously.

“However, I believe the present Government will find it difficult to quell the uproar of the rakyat,” Anwar said during his speech after a solat tawarikh and hajat ceremony at his home here last night.

The Pakatan Rakyat leader had initially proclaimed that his takeover would happen on Sept 16.

He added that detailed discussions would be held with Pakatan component parties PKR, PAS and DAP to study any possible consequences.

“The meeting on Pakatan’s preparations for Sept 16 will be held tomorrow evening or the following day,” Anwar said, adding that he had to follow court proceedings before that.

“We definitely have sufficient numbers (of MPs) but we would have to wait first as they are currently ‘enjoying Ramadan’ in Taiwan,” said Anwar sarcastically.

He said he had information that the MPs, who went on the Taiwan trip were not allowed to return before Sept 16 in order to thwart the Pakatan takeover.

Putting Sept 16 in PERSPECTIVE, DSAI, please do not feel pressured to deliver us, the RAKYAT, from the clutches of Evil as we have been under the YOKE of Barisan NAJIS for 51 years. A few more days or even a month or 2 is not a problem to us.

We are thankful that PR & DSAI are working overtime to give us DELIVERANCE from the Devil that is Barisan NAJIS, but the Devil has many tricks and a huge "temptations" war chest, and we appreciate the UPHILL struggle you & PR are going through !

You have my UNDIVIDED SUPPORT no matter 916 happens or not, for ALL your efforts to make Malaysia a better place !!

This Scribe believes Muhyiddin sees a Trojan Virus (as in computers) in Mahathir. It may just be a scorch earth strategy by Muhyiddin as he and his band of Umno MP's make their cross over to Pakatan Rakyat where the grass is much greener. Having Mahathir in Umno again will definately be the final nail in Umno's coffin and Muhyiddin knows that. The Rakyat (People) already have had enough of Mahathir and his brand of racism.

Already, Malays are beginning to realize that their political power, despite of all the hype of Ketuanan Melayu (Malay Supremacy) has been usurped by Indian Muslims like Mahathir who have been masquerading and fooling the Malays as the champions of the Malay race. Umno is in essence, an Indian Muslim dominated party. All the 'real' Malays are actually in PKR and PAS...More http://*********.********.com

DSAI, for the lights of me, I don't know why you have to announce to the whole world...least to say UMNO...the date you intended to replace the government.
Is this due to your egoistic side..smugness..or what?
Why don't you simply plan the event quietly among PKR parties and JUST DO IT instead of TALKING about it!

Nonetherless, I wish you the best in your court case and may GOd be with you in whatever you plan to do...for the good of Malaysia I hope & pray!

I am sure the Rakyat will be pleased enough if you can get the bail after today's court session. smilies/smiley.gif
Still can't understand why the case has to be transferred to the High Court. The Session Court judge has the power to hear such case and accordingly to dismiss it. It is an obvious misuse of the court procedure. Since you are charged with consensual sodomy, Sayfool (do I get the spelling right?smilies/grin.gif) should stand as an accused too. Now that he had sworn while holding Qur'an on his left hand that it was not consensual, the charge itself is mistaken.
Seriously, if this case continues, the Rakyat must mark the judge and label this particular judge as the people traitor! Even an outsider, who does not know Anwar at all, would have the immediate impression that Sayfool's claim is frivolous and vexatious! http://umm.adzka.com/?p=712
Only people with something terribly wrong with their brain would have the ability to twist their mind and accept the unacceptable. For God's sake, look at the circumstances and let your conscience leads you (anyone falls within this category of people) to your clear logic!
Once DSAI could clear this hurdle, he can focus better to achieving the 169 target, be it on that particular day or anytime later...

916 is a good number and good date
but
it is merely a number and a date

"DSAI as our new PM"
this is the key issue here.
916 may be just a number to scare the BN (now, you see, their pants are wet now!)
916 may be a real date
but it doesn't really matter to most of us who wanted change

BN want to hide their heads into the ground, it is OK
BN cannot prevent wind of change
BN is in STRONG denial stage.....so strong that they will be no return
farewell BN

I think Anwar's campaign of announcing the date like 916 is a form of "guerilla politics" whereby you keep a larger enemy like BN on its toes so that it does not know what you are going to do next.

It has worked brilliantly and show his political genius - after all he had a very good mentor for some years.
I only suggest that PR agree some terms of engagement with BN so that any change of government does not develop into utter chaos.

If they cannot jail Anwar, they will ISA him. DOn't tell me, all the while they never take this into equation.

916 is just a gimmick for the by-election. Anwar will like to be taking over the goverment in the next general election. But at the mean time, he knows that BN is sabotaging all the Pakatan's state by scaring away the foreign investment into those opposition state.

So, what Anwar did, was just to tell the investor to stay away from investing in Malaysia until Anwar takes over. Which most investor has take the cue. By stopping foreign investment from coming in, they will have some effect on the BN coffers.

It might be part of ANwar's strategy to twart the goverment from buying Pakatan's MP over especially those PKR member which has not been proven till date. By attempting to take over the Malaysian goverment, UMNO will have busy time protecting their turf instead of spending their time and money buying opposition MPs over.

This is a strategy. But come next election, we want UMNO to DIE.

The actual date is unimportant. What is important is that a mass movement has begun which will be very hard to stop. Let Sept 16 be a symbolic date reflecting a New Malaysia!

Anwar is the point man at this moment but I believe the movement can become bigger than the man. Even if he is imprisoned, it can only serve as a catalyst for a bigger mass movement. Malaysia's day has come to be a matured nation!

It's a psychology game to test reaction and study their move. Just like how Yong TL mooted the vote of no confidence.

thats what i think la.
