Wanita Gerakan calls for sacking of Ahmad, detention under ISA

(The Edge) - Wanita Gerakan today urged Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to sack Bukit Bendera Umno division chief Datuk Ahmad Ismail and called him to be detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA).

The result of non-action by the prime minister could lead to Wanita Gerakan urging the leadership to leave the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition, Wanita Gerakan chief Datuk Tan Lian Hoe.

Tan however said that if Ahmad promised not to stir up racial issues pertaining the Chinese community, the Wanita wing would not press for his detention under the ISA. However, she said his sacking from Umno was something that the Wing would pursue, regardless.

Ahmad Ismail incurred the wrath of the Chinese community when during the Permatang Pauh by-elections he referred to the Chinese as `Pendatang’ and were squatting in the country. He also blamed Gerakan and it losing support among the Chinese community as the reason for the loss of BN Penang.

Ahmad received the support of all 13 Umno divisions in the state. Gerakan acting president Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon in return has announced in an emergency meeting last night that the party would sever all ties with Penang Umno.

The BN component parties are due to meet this afternoon to deliberate on Ahmad’s actions.

ISA should be abolished!

ISA should be abolished...........but not quite yet. It should be used on bn members, so they and their families can enjoy the facilities provided for a couple of years. After sufficient numbers of them such as Jasin and Kinabatangan, Rembau, Padang Rengas etc have been sent to this "holiday camp", for a couple of years, then it should be repealed. Otherwise, bn people will "forget" why it should be abolished.

I say man, this Ahmad Ismail is doing what he is told to do. Get Gerakan out of the picture so that Penang will also have a Malay Chief Minister soon. Didn't someone promise to accomplish this? Well, looks like they are working hard to make it come to pass. If Gerakan leaves BN, then next time, Penang will have a Malay Chief Minister, if BN recaptures Penang. Thats a big If la, but hey it must have been offered to him, so thats why he is so worked up about it.

So, MCA, Gerakan, PPP, etc, what are you waiting for? Permission to leave bn ah? To see what percentage cut you can still collect if you stay ah? It's ok, the longer you stay, the less chances of you guys gaining votes in the next elections. So keep it up. You guys really dont know what is in the heart of the rakyat. And you dont have our interest at heart. So we wont vote for you either. You have NOT seen the fury of the rakyat yet!

I am totally against the use of ISA.

But, this brouhaha of a mad cow rampaging the Penang Island is a clear show of double standard by the ruling party. I would commend AAB if the A Mad Cow is placed under ISA. We will candle vigil for his release and abolishment of ISA.

ISA or sedition act shouldn't be use. It is inhumanne. Please control your emotions and use your brain.

Leave BN for good. Go back to your roots.

Gerakan, please don't over react and miss the forest for the trees. don't fall into their trap. more important issues which is going to happen soon. Applaud PKR for being so sensible and patient.

Malaysians are tired with Gerakanâ€™s quixotic battles with windmills. Donâ€™t they know when it is time they quit? Police reports have been lodged and they have said they will investigate. Tan should know it is time for her to shut her mouths. We do not want to hear anymore. If they wish to leave the BN, leave. If they wish to stay, just stay.
No more calls for insincere apologies, no more calls for anybodyâ€™s sacking. We are weary and tired. Let the law take its natural course.

Extremely silly and stupid to put ahmad behind the slammers. As it only suppresses and sweeps the entire issue under the ISA carpet. Using the ISA will NOT solves this. And umno will NEVER use the ISA on their own kind and breed. Wanita gerakan still do NOT gets it.
The only way to eliminate such problem is to distance from umno or leaves bn. When less people supports umno this means less funds. Umno is nothing without supports and money. But as long as mic, mca,ppp , gerakan still with bn this bloody means you ARE part of the problem , not ahmad. ahmad is not the problem. umno is the problem.
We know it is hard for gerakan to leave umno as gerakan parks their money with umno companies and cronies. Because of greed gerakan is adamant. You stay in bn, you will lose everything. You leaves bn you lose your money. umno is trying to pursue riots in order to clings on. Today we get the 'warning" from the army general and gerakan still blur blur. Mca still blurs, Mic still high on toddy. If anything happens to Malaysia it is your fault bn.You are playing the racial game.

Now you know why only the ruling parties making noises here and there !

PAS/DAP/PKR ! Way to go, just ignore this chap and the whole issues, never falls into their traps. Your Rakyat (BOSS) are more wise/diligent/tolerant than the mad cows!

The NGO's stand is wise and clear for everyone. smilies/angry.gif
