The election campaign went into its fourth day on Tuesday, however, Angkatan Kemajuan Insan Malaysia (AKIM) candidate Hanafi Mamat was nowhere to be seen in Permatang Pauh ever since the nomination day last Saturday.

Similarly, the media have not received any call from AKIM or been informed of any campaign activity or ceramah. There are only two major camps now lobbying for votes, UMNO and PKR.

On the nomination day, Sin Chew Daily reporter was promised an appointment to meet Hanafi for an interview on the following morning (17 August). However, when Sin Chew Daily tried to approach him early in the morning for the exact place and time of interview, Hanafi said apologetically that he was in Kota Bharu.

He told Sin Chew Daily over the phone that he would travel between Permatang Pauh and Kelantan during the campaign period, and when he is away, his 200-member election team would help him campaign for the election.

He felt he did not need to set up too many election offices, or put up posters or organise ceramahs during the campaign period, because what matters most is that he could effectively deliver AKIM's message to the voters.

He said his team would go from door to door to convey AKIM's message while lobbying for votes.

Sin Chew Daily approached him again on Tuesday to find out where exactly he would campaign for the election. Hanafi said he would be back in Permatang Pauh on Wedneday.

It seems that by the time he actually begins his campaign tour, half of the campaign period would have been over. His "composure" has taken many by surprise.

We have no idea whether that is his election tactic, showing that he is fully confident of himself and his team, or because he simply has no experience running for the election.

Well, only he himself can tell. (Sin Chew Daily)

This guy is in the payroll of BN to split PR votes. He just don't care after receiving Rm500,000 for his efforts on the nomination day.

This guy is worshiping "money" under the disguise of religion, worst still the money he got is "wang haram". UMNO/BN and politicians associated with them have no qualms to hijack religion for political mileage. (Saifool, Ezam, Nalla, etc)

Hanafi looks very religious so he knows very well that it is God that decides who should win the election and not the voters. That's the reason why he doesn't have to campaign. He's smart though !

Hanafi has also been buggered and he is currently under police protection. Soon he will have his ass examined and swear in the mosque.

"Disappeared after Nomimation Day?"
Who is this spoiler Hanafi anyway
He came, he saw and he was registered
Then he quietly join the ranks of the “disappeared”

Remember all those people who signed various SDs
Some just vanished, others escaped overseas
If you are pro-UMNO you might then be allowed in mosques to pray
If you are not prone to swearing at the Qu’ran, vanishing seems semua-nya OK!

It's Thursday now and still no sign of Hanafi. He's sure to lose his RM15,000 deposit. Some people got money to burn. He may as well give the money to PKR for Anwar's campaign.

Vote splitter! It's clearly written on his stu*id face. Loosing RM15K is an investment for him to make millions in return. Don't be deceived by the religious look. They may turn out to be the biggest scums. You can put him in saifools book.

Who put that picture of Hanafi Mamat up there? smilies/grin.gif Doesn't take much imagination and make-up to make him a closed relative of that creature from the movie "Alien" lah! With a face like that and a no-**** attitude, exactly who in Pamatang Pauh does he expect to vote for him?

He has not disappeared.

This is a new election tactic. It is meant to get the whole constituency worried and looking for him, and walla, win sympathy votes! It could lead to an upset! smilies/cool.gif
