IPOH, Aug 15 (Bernama)-- PAS vice-president Mohamad Sabu said votes for the party in four states namely Terengganu, Perlis, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan were found to have declined in the general election on March 8.
He said a study by the PAS general election post-mortem committee revealed that votes for the party among the Malays had not increased by much.
"On the other hand, our success was largely contributed by the increase in the votes from the Indian community, followed by the Chinese and the Malays," he said when replying to questions from delegates at the afternoon session of the 45th PAS Annual Assembly, here Friday.
He said the decline in support for the party outside Kuala Terengganu, Seremban, Melaka and especially Perlis was as much as six per cent.
Mohamad said the post-mortem also revealed that PAS was facing problems in terms of support in several areas because of its cooperation with Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).

That's why to be part of the coalition called Pakatan Rakyat you have to be (fair) to all races. Start looking at everyone as Malaysians. Stop the bigotry. Realise that it was the non-muslims with the support of the Muslims who put you guys where you are today. Give it a thought. God gave us brains so we could use it to think and improve ourselves.
