The restiveness of Indians in the country continues unabated, raising its head up in various forms regularly. The latest is the purported move by Manickavasagam of PKR threatening to pull out from PKR.

TNB and SESB are trying to convince Sabahans to accept a coal-fired power plant on the East Coast of Sabah. Not just in any part of the East Coast but a location with infrastructure in place; that is nearest to the electricity grid, fresh water supplies, road and sea frontage where they can land their coal and use the sea water for cooling purposes and waste disposal. That was why they chose Silam before and in their failed bid previously, are now targeting SANDAKAN.

Issue at stake is whether the changes started by the March 8 political tsunami last year should be pressed on or be blocked and  even reversed

I am going to take a few of my usual leaps of logic here.

I'm a voter in a Kapar although I live and work in Kedah, but during the March 08 elections, I drove all the way from Alor Star and not only voted for you but convinced many doubting Thomases to vote for you. We spent our own resources to spread your message and the PR platform. You weren't known to us even if you were a Reformasi stalwart and you didn't contest Kapar before.

In the light of recent grouses among certain Indian leaders against the Pakatan-led Selangor government for neglecting Indian interests, I am writing this open letter to share my thoughts.

Maybe long-time MIC chief S. Samy Vellu is acutely aware of the thickening master plot to oust him from power. Maybe he feels threatened. Maybe he wants to divert the attention of the media from his inevitable exit.

While all right-thinking  Malaysians, regardless of race or religion, agree that stern action should be taken against those responsible for the blog which insults Prophet Mohammad, many are asking why the authorities have been so  tardy and laid-back in acting when complaint was first made many  weeks ago.

The study to privatise public heath care services and hospitals by the government began in the late 80's and it came into the open when the 7th Malaysia plan was unveiled. There were 12 major entities/projects earmarked for privatisation and 8 for corporatisation (*see list below). One of the eight were Hospitals.
