Wouldn’t you agree with me? Everything they do seem racial-based or does not fit the agenda that we hope to achieve although their actions have been the catalyst for us to actually think and act.

For one thing, the argument that English must be used to teach Science and Mathematics to enhance the growth and development of scientific knowledge is not an absolute truth, although generally perceived to be so by many people.

Petronas must explain why it is supplying 3.03 million tonnes of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) a year to the Shanghai Gas Terminal for 25 years from 2009 when there is not enough gas supplies for domestic demand resulting in loss of tens of billions of Ringgit in foreign direct investments

Take a pinch of democracy. Add a generous portion of autocracy and a spoonful of racism to it. Mix it up well and what do you get? A confused system that is neither here nor there. Behold, here is … Autodemoracecracy, where the pillars of democracy are knocked down, the autocratic manifesto is lauded as truth and the race card utilized to the hilt to separate a nation of people.

On 19 June, Pakatan Rakyat organised a get-together to celebrate the 64th birthday of Aung San Suu Kyi with a programme that included a few local and Burmese performances, speeches by political leaders/ activists, birthday cakes and lots of red heart shaped balloons. It was a small but nonetheless essential affair observed around the world as a show of solidarity with the Burmese pro-democracy movement and protest against the continued incarceration of the Nobel laureate and the ongoing sham trial. As some of you may know, the event never took off.
